WGNO spoke with the owner, who said a number of Saints fans were watching the game when it started to rain, and people began to gather underneath the bar’s covered patio area.
That’s when the porch reportedly gave out.
A post on the Wrong Iron Facebook page reads, “During today’s rainstorm, our courtyard guests moved to the porch for cover, which led to unexpected porch sinkage of an estimated 1.5 feet.”
The post also stated that a full investigation into the cause of the collapse and an evaluation of the building plans will be conducted.

The bar will be closed for the rest of the day.
The New Orleans Police Department reported that a man was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, and four people were treated at the scene.
