Red Dead Redemption PC price confirmed

Red Dead Redemption was revealed to be coming to PC later this month and now pre-orders are open, giving way to the price being revealed. Unsurprisingly, it’s causing a stir among players.

On Steam, Epic Games Store, and Rockstar’s own storefront, you can pre-order the game for the not-so-appealing price of $49.99 for a new version of a game pushing over a decade old. It’s worth pointing out, though, it does come with some additions, such as native 4K, Ultrawide and Super Ultrawide support, upscaling technology, and a more customized experience with adjustable draw distance, shadow quality and more.

This version is a long-time coming, considering fans have been clambering to play it on PC for the longest time, especially as Rockstar’s other games have made ways to play its slightly more dated entries on PC. Rumors swirled around its release, all but confirming it was coming to the PC.

Last year, it released to the PS4 as a direct port of its PS3 version, as well as releasing on the Switch, leaving people confused why it wasn’t on the latest hardware. This price shouldn’t surprise anyone as this is the same pricing model the PS4 and Switch versions released at.

Red Dead Redemption is heading to PC on October 29.
