LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) – Sen. Ted Cruz stopped by Tia Juanita’s Fish Camp restaurant in Longview on Saturday as part of a bus campaign tour ahead of the November elections.
‘Fresh ideas and new leadership’: Colin Allred makes the case to replace Ted Cruz in Senate
“I’m leading the fight to cut your taxes. They want higher taxes. I’m leading the fight to defend jobs and Texas oil and gas and energy. They want to destroy jobs in Texas, oil and gas and energy. I’m leading the fight to support the men and women of law enforcement, they want to defund law enforcement,” said Cruz at the event on Saturday.
Back in August, both Cruz and his Democratic opponent Rep. Collin Allred, visited East Texas to make their case to voters about why they want to win this heated race.
“I want to have conversations with Texans about where I think we can go together. I think we’ve had 12 years of incredibly divisive and actually not very productive, in terms of getting things done,” Allred said during his visit back in August.
This race and many others will be covered on Nov. 5 by KETK, Your Local Election Headquarters.
