Share of Australian women working part-time declines as they seek more flexibility: BCEC, WGEA

The number of women working in part-time roles has fallen significantly over the past decade, gradually up to the COVID-19 pandemic and more rapidly since then.

That’s according to a new report from the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre and Workplace Gender Equality Agency, which identified a decline in the share of women engaged in part-time work — down 3.2 percentage points to 29.7 per cent over the past three years.
