Shire of Laverton residents will be hit with a substantial 10 per cent increase in rates if councillors approve the proposed 2024-25 budget at next week’s meeting, with the shire president blaming the rising cost of living.
“Everything you touch these days is about double the bloody price it was five years ago,” Pat Hill said.
