Shootings leave two dead at Nashville recording studio over the weekend

Two apparently unrelated shootings left two men dead at a recording studio off Murfreesboro Pike over the weekend, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

The shootings happened at 711 Hill Avenue. The first was Saturday night and left 45-year-old Johnathon Wallace dead, police said. The second shooting was reported Sunday around 6 a.m. and left 35-year-old Justin Williams dead.

Police said the two shootings were unrelated. Homicide unit detectives are actively investigating strong leads in both cases.

Officers responded to Saturday night’s shooting at 9 p.m. and found Wallace seated in the driver seat of a BMW SUV, MNPD said. Medics arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Detectives again responded to the location Sunday morning after Williams was discovered fatally wounded in the parking lot, according to police.

The motive in both shootings remains under investigation. Anyone with information regarding these fatal shootings is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward. This story has been updated to add video.
