Silent Hill 2 Remake: How To Kill Creepers

The Creeper is probably the most annoying little monster you’ll come across in the Silent Hill 2 Remake. These insect-like enemies make an unsettling buzzing sound. They don’t usually pose a big threat and often can be ignored, but if you do want to get rid of them, they’re pretty easy to deal with.

Unlike other creatures in the game which are far more difficult, the Creepers aren’t aggressive unless you get too close, and they won’t chase you down. Still, if one gets too close, it will try to bite James’ foot, which can be pretty annoying. Here’s everything you need to know about Creepers including the best way to kill them.

How to Kill Creepers in Silent Hill 2 Remake

When you do decide to take out a Creeper, all you really need to do is land a single hit before it bites you. Their only attack is to bite the player and since they’re pretty slow, it’s pretty easy to take them down before they get a chance to do that.

As long as you hit them first, you’ll be fine. The handgun works well if you want to keep your distance, but a melee weapon should be enough to do the job, as it’s recommended to save your ammo for tougher foes.

Creepers aren’t the most dangerous enemies in the Silent Hill 2 Remake, but they can still be a pain if you’re not paying attention. If you hear your radio start to act up then chances are that a Creeper is nearby.

Just make sure you land that first hit, and they won’t be much of a problem. They can be found all over the place, from East South Vale to the Labyrinth, but you won’t run into them as much as other enemies, so you won’t have to worry about them too often, thankfully.

While Creepers can be ignored most of the time since they’re not super aggressive, taking them out is always an option, especially if they’re in your way and if you have a melee weapon to spare.

Easy to kill, but annoying nonetheless.

The Creeper is basically a giant cockroach. They aren’t the most frequent enemies but when you do see one, it will try to come after you if you get close enough.

Creepers can be found both indoors and outdoors throughout the game, but they’re not as common as other enemies like the Lying Figure or Mannequin.

You’ll most likely run into them in places like East South Vale, Wood Side Apartments, Blue Creek Apartments, Toluca Prison, and even the Nightmare Hotel.

Now, spotting them can be a little tricky since they’re not exactly huge, but if you listen closely to your radio, you can use it to figure out when a Creeper is near. Once you’ve located one, taking it out is pretty easy.

Creepers aren’t that tough, and you can kill them with just one hit using a melee weapon. If you don’t feel like getting close then a handgun will work too, but again, using your gun is probably a bit of overkill.
