Silent Hill 2 Remake Sales Hitting 1 Million in 3 Days is a Sign for Hidetaka Miyazaki To Do the Same With Bloodborne

Silent Hill 2 Remake has just been released. And right from the beginning of its launch, it has already started giving chills to everyone’s bones. This game is a remake of the OG game of 2001, originally developed by Team Silent, a group within Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo.

That game truly brought a revolution in the world of horror games. Despite being a 23-year-old game, the original game still gives chills to our bones with its terrifying and intimidating gameplay. The remake is looking to do the same, carrying the legacy of the OG game forward. And as things stand, the journey of carrying the legacy is off to a bright start.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Shipments and Digital Sales Cross the 1 Million Mark

Silent Hill 2 Remake was already making names for the franchise just after its release. The extensively horrific environment of the Silent Hill town, along with the OG storyline, has made every fan fall in love with this game. As a result, the game has surpassed one million units worldwide as of October 11, in terms of total shipments and digital sales, developer Bloober Team announced.

This huge milestone that too just three days after the release is quite astonishing, keeping in mind that this is a remade version of the OG title. The game already had the huge pressure of building on the legacy of the franchise, and now it seems it has exceeded all the expectations.

The game has brand new features and achievements like toggling all the on-screen UI elements or the cheeky “No Turning Back Now” achievement. With the game’s ongoing success, it has already made its place in the same bracket of legendary horror titles like Resident Evil 2 and Dead Space.

Hidetaka Miyazaki Should Follow the Footsteps of Silent Hill 2 for Bloodborne

This huge success of Silent Hill 2 Remake has made fans demand for a remade version of another hugely popular title, Bloodborne. Hidetaka Miyazaki is probably one of the finest game makers the world has ever seen. Through the hands of the President of FromSoftware, we have seen titles like Elden RingSekiroDark Souls, and many more.

Now all of these games have a major difference with Bloodborne. That is, all of them were released for multiple platforms. And this is where the Yharnam-based title stays behind in the race.

After its release in 2015, this game became an instant hit. However, things got rattled when the game started putting intense pressure on the PS4. Being an older-gen console, this was evident. That is why a remade version of this magnificent title on multiple platforms would be great.
