Sonic Fans Can Now Build And Display Shadow The Hedgehog’s Disembodied Head
If you’re looking forward to Sonic X Shadow Generations, you can pass the time before launch by building the brand-new Shadow the Hedgehog Lego set. Released today, October 1, the 720-piece set lets Sonic fans build a bust of the soon-to-be movie star. In a way, you are building Keanu Reeves, since the actor is voicing Shadow in Sonic 3. Does that mean you are also making a John Wick Lego set? No, not really, but you can pretend. The Shadow the Hedgehog Lego set is available to purchase at the Lego Store and Target. Once fully constructed, you can check out some cool Easter eggs hidden in this plastic bust. For example, there’s a Chaos Emerald inside of Shadow, his base contains several gold rings, and he comes with a nameplate to attach to his display. This version of Shadow is based on his very first appearance in Sonic Adventure 2, a 2001 game for the Sega Dreamcast.
Shadow has starred in several other video games over the decades–including that one 2005 game where he had a cool motorcycle and lots of guns–and he’ll be appearing on the big screen in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Making a switch from hitman to hedgehog, Keanu Reeves will voice Shadow in the threequel, and video game fans can also look forward to seeing Shadow pop up in Sonic X Generations on October 25.
Lego Fortnite sets also released today, October 1, and if you’re a fan of the battle royale series, you can pick up some fun kits like the Fortnite Battle Bus, Durr Burger, Supply Llama, and Peely Bone. It’s a big day for Lego, as you can also get a Super Mario World kit and new Batmobile based on the 1966 TV series.
