Space Marine 2 Fans May Need to Wait for 1 Specific Addition to the Game

Space Marine 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the highly popular original released in 2011. The sequel will take players back to the dark and atmospheric Warhammer 40,000 universe.

The new installment promises to bring back the eponymous hack-and-slash combat and lore of the first game, with major upgrades to gameplay and graphics that come with new technology. 

However, despite all this, fans of the franchise might need to be patient when it comes to one specific feature. The iconic beaked helmets are yet to be confirmed for the game, and this has left fans wondering whether these classic elements will eventually make their way into Space Marine 2. 

Space Marine Beaked Helmets are Standard for Marine Corps 

Beaked helmets, often called Beakies by fans, are one of the standout features of the Space Marines. These originate from the early days of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The helmets are part of the Mark 6 ‘Corvus’ power armor, designed for and during the time of technological advancement and warfare. 

The beak on these helmets was designed to store additional advanced sensors that pose an advantage on the battlefield for Space Marines. 

While Space Marine 2 hasn’t confirmed beaked helmets, these will certainly add more depth to the gameplay. 

Among players, these helmets represent nostalgic essence, as they bring back core memories of the classic days of Warhammer 40,000. The design of the beaks is a fan favorite, and many hope to see this iconic feature return in Space Marine 2. 

Beaked Helmets Aren’t Confirmed for Space Marine 2

The fan anticipation for the game is through the roof as we close on the Space Marine 2 release date, set for September 9.

One fan took to Reddit to remind players of the importance behind these beaked helmets and shared his thoughts on whether these will be included in the game.

The debate quickly became viral and one fan said that beaked helmets might not appear until a later update or come with a cosmetic pack. One user said that these helmets could be added as part of a Raven Guard-themed cosmetic pack.

Another user said that the game will feature only Mk10 or Mk7 power armor, and either doesn’t have beaked helmets as part of the gear.

Space Marine 2 is set to deliver the action shown in the pre-release trailers, with or without beaked helmets. With multiple roles available, players can choose how they want to take part in the battle against the Tyranids in the style, choosing the tactics and strategies that suit them best. 

Whether Focus Entertainment will listen to the community’s wishes and include the iconic beaked helmets in Space Marine 2 remains to be seen.
