Sparking Zero’s Biggest Non-Canon Problem May Have Been Fixed

Canon or not, the Dragon Ball universe holds a large roster of powerful fighters. A debate among the fans of Sparking Zero is spiking as to which of the non-canon characters will make it into the game. Several of them have been featured in video games before.

To that end, the upcoming Bandai Namco game must include some non-canon characters. Though 17 years have passed and new characters sure deserve a place, the developers simply cannot forget some of the beloved ones that fans would like to see.

Some of Those Non-Canonicals are Just Too Strong to Handle

Sometimes non-canon characters in a series become so popular that fans cannot simply get enough of them. Dragon Ball features a lot of them. As Budokai Tenkaichi has featured some of the characters in the past, it was natural for fans to hope that the Bandai Namco game might include them.

A debate sparked on social network Reddit, where this user called Psychological_Leg_47 asked which of the non-canon characters should be included.

The chances are real to see certain non-canonical characters in the upcoming game. Pikkon, for one, was featured in Budokai Tenkaichi 2 and Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Goku first encountered him during the Other World Saga. However, fans are still in an argument about whether he’s really non-canon.

Some of the interesting non-characters comes from the anime-exclusive Dragon Ball GT. Syn Shenron, the last of the evil Shadow Dragons, was also featured in the above-mentioned Budokai Tenkaichi games.

We saw Goku transform into Super Saiyan 4 in the anime-exclusive series. Many who don’t know this must know that the transformation is non-canon to the original series. Still, the transformation has gained significant popularity among the community throughout the years.

Another one that might be of fans’ interest could be Demigra, who has been featured in video games like Xenoverse and Heroes. Though the former one isn’t really a popular game among fans, Sparking Zero could spark interest for the character when users enter the arena.

Which of the non-canonical characters do you think would be fitting for the game? We would like to know about it in the comments section below.
