Square Enix working on a fix for Final Fantasy 16 bug that can prevent game progress
Square Enix has prioritised fixing a Final Fantasy 16 bug that can prevent progress in New Game Plus mode.
“If players select New Game + and choose to skip the prologue, there is a small chance that, under certain conditions, party members will not appear on the screen, preventing progress through the main scenario quest A Chance Encounter,” it said.
“When the issue has been found, an update patch will be released to address and resolve the issue,” Square added, before offering some temporary workarounds, which are detailed in the X post below.
We would like to bring players’ attention to a known issue in Final Fantasy XVI that could impede game progress. The team is currently investigating the issue and has prioritized finding a solution.
