Star Albany cricketer Nathan Crudeli debuts for WA Premier Cricket powerhouses Perth after Euro summer stint

Albany cricket star Nathan Crudeli made a stellar debut for WA Premier Cricket powerhouses Perth Cricket Club at the weekend before featuring in their round four T20 win over Rockingham-Mandurah on Sunday.

Crudeli, who won two of the three major Albany and Districts Cricket Association A-grade awards last season, joined Perth for the upcoming season after spending a European summer playing for Quick Den Haag in the Netherlands’ second division.

A Country XI All-Australian all-rounder, Crudeli scored 489 runs at an average of 81.5 and took 24 wickets at 13 for Mt Barker last season.

His move to Perth is an enormous loss for not only the Bulls but for the ADCA’s Boan Cup and Belt-Up Country Cup sides.

Crudeli has taken his talents to WA’s Premier Cricket competition where he will play the 2024-25 season for a stacked Perth side.

The reigning WA Premier Cricket champions boast a freakishly talented outfit with former WA and Adelaide Strikers batsman Jonathan Wells, WA opening batsman Samuel Fanning, WA second XI wicket-keeper-batsman Joel Curtis and 2023-24 competition leading wicket taker Waheguru Dhillon among their line-up.

Crudeli played in Perth’s five-wicket first grade T20 victory over Wanneroo on Sunday, taking 1-29 from 3.4 overs at Fletcher Park, as the hosts skittled their opponents for just 117 before chasing the total five wickets down in the 19th over.

The 30-year-old starred in his debut for the club on Saturday in second grade, leading the charge with the ball, taking 3-18 from 8.3 overs in their crushing nine-wicket victory over Rockingham-Mandurah at Lark Hill.
