Team Asobi rolls out weekly Astro Bot DLC

For fans who may have already cleared all the levels, rescued all the missing bots but still crave more content, Team Asobi has you covered. Over three weeks after the State of Play September showcase, Team Asobi has released the first batch of the new Astro Bot DLC levels.

Every week starting Thursday October 17, the new DLC levels will be released (via the PlayStation Blog). This new DLC content will contain new speedrun levels to challenge players on completing obstacle courses as fast as possible, as well as a total of 10 new VIP bots for Astro to rescue. The speedrun DLC levels are found in a new galaxy called Stellar Speedway, with each new level containing two new VIP bots to rescue.

Considering this week’s new level: Building Speed, features Barkster the bulldog booster powerup, it may be safe to assume each speedrun level will feature one of the other powerups. After completing Building Speed, the Helldiver bot from Helldivers 2 is able to be rescued alongside his companion. The Helldiver was already featured in the Astro Bot DLC trailer from the September State of Play. While Eve from Stellar Blade was also featured in the trailer, she doesn’t debut this week. We’ll leave it to you to complete the first DLC speedrun level and see who debuts alongside the Helldiver.

All the DLC levels are completely free to download on to your PlayStation 5. Be sure to check in every Thursday starting at 6 AM Pacific Time when each new level drops. The last DLC level will be released on November 14.
