The Casting of Frank Stone Looks Every Bit the Child of Supermassive and Behaviour that You’d Expect

Dead by Daylight and Behaviour Interactive created a livestream in which they revealed all of the future projects for this popular game. One of these revelations was The Casting of Frank Stone’s new gameplay. This will be a crossover between Supermassive Games and the creators of this co-op survival title. 

This studio worked on games like Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures Anthology, and more. This new project will feature four protagonists who are collaborating to create their own horror movie, but the story takes an unexpected turn.

Behaviour Interactive is taking advantage of the complete success that Dead by Daylight is, with many crossovers, collaborations, and in-game events. Constantly adding this kind of content to the game makes regular players happy with all the changes and new killers that are part of the experience. In a recent stream for the 8th anniversary, the title introduced the first gameplay of a spin-off of this universe.

This livestream revealed the first official gameplay for The Casting of Frank Stone, a collaboration between the studio behind the popular game previously mentioned and Supermassive Games, the creators of titles like Until Dawn, The Dark Pictures, and many other narrative-driven IPs.

This game will be released sometime this year and will be based on the lore and universe of the popular title.

In the Dead by Daylight universe, this new game introduces four protagonists who are attempting to produce an independent horror film. Set in the summer of 1980 in Cedar Hills, these four young filmmakers will use a Super 8 camera to create their own film. The town’s steel mill has its own terrifying story that will be perfect for the script that this group is looking for. At one point in town, there was a serial killer.

This discovery pulls the group through a very terrorizing web of cosmic horror where every action will be linked, so as with all the Supermassive Games IPs, there will be different endings and consequences for every new part of the story and decision you make. This group will encounter the fact that reality itself could disappear if they don’t make the right decisions. The game will have environmental puzzles.

The studio behind this project also announced that other collaborations for Dead by Daylight will be Dungeons & Dragons, Castlevania, Stranger Things, and many other very popular franchises that will be coming to the game at some point. The company is really betting that the incredible popularity of this co-op title will keep players going back to the game with every new addition or event.
