The Diablo 4 Helltide changes make the game fun againĀ asĀ leveling up is aĀ breeze

Soldiering through the levels is fun in Diablo 4, albeit tiresome if youā€™ve done it multiple times. Fortunately, the Helltide changes in Season 4 make leveling up a breeze. Let me show you how to level up in record-breaking time.

One of the most impactful changes to Diablo 4 this season is the Helltide changes.Ā Helltides are now accessible at any World TierĀ and are always active bar the short cooldown when the area moves. We used to use other methods to level up quickly, but Helltides provide a steady source of enemies we can use instead.

The enemy density in Helltides is so high they are hands-down the best place to level up. Gear also drops at a decent rate, so you can chase Helltides through the entire leveling process if you wish.

I recommend playing on World Tier 1 with a brand new character and heading straight to a Helltide. You can fight enemies as usual until youā€™ve got a few skill points under your belt and have something equipped in each gear slot. Once you reach that point, you canĀ crank the difficulty up to World Tier 2.

World Tier 2 is notably tougher than the standard difficulty, but the XP gains are so dramaticĀ itā€™s worth the added challenge. I find the best thing to do is loosely follow any players you see around the Helltide. Formidable enemies are much easier to beat with assistance, and you donā€™t lose anything for fighting as a team. If anything, your new friend will probably appreciate the help.

Keep in mind thatĀ your character level will quickly eclipse your gear level, so pick up everything you see. Even if your new gear looks hideous, youā€™ll frequently be swapping it as you play. The usual Helltide rules still apply, so you can collect Cinders to open Helltide chests.

Once you reach roughly level 50, you can take on the Capstone Dungeon to open World Tier 3. The XP gains for this World Tier are even greater, although the difficulty increase is noticeable. Iā€™ve read multiple reports from players claiming theyā€™ve beaten the Capstone Dungeon at level 40 or lower. Iā€™d avoid this unless youā€™re an advanced player, but itā€™s an option.

At the time of writing, you can comfortably reach level 50 and beyond within a few decent sessions.Ā No matter what class you play as, you can use the new Helltides to reach the endgame faster than ever before.
