AFK farming is a concept as old as time itself, being a loophole that the earliest of gamers discovered in their favorite games through the method of hit and miss. It is also something that was never really considered to be something controversial, as long as it did not come at the expense of other players in case of multiplayer.

Just like the surge of Helldivers 2, The First Descendant is a title that allows its players to simply have fun and shoot monsters mindlessly, which might not seem much objective at first, but that is the whole point of the game.

And as witnessed with Sony’s title, the game made by Nexon is also seeing an influx of players, many of which who had already left the world of gaming in hopes of never returning again.

What further helps the game’s case is how it stays free to play and is available on every major storefront, including Steam, Xbox and PlayStation, allowing the studio to reach a larger audience just by keeping their creation multi-platform.
