The Incredibles 3 Not the Biggest News of the Weekend as The Family of Superheroes Reportedly on the Way to Fortnite

This weekend has been extremely exciting for fans of The Incredibles, with the announcement of a third movie in the works, but that’s not the only news grabbing attention. Disney has revealed something even more thrilling for fans of the animated classics and Fortnite fans. 

It’s been confirmed that the superhero family from the beloved Pixar series is heading to the game later this year. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this Disney-Fortnite collaboration.

The Incredibles and Disney Villains Join Fortnite

Fortnite has become known for its massive crossover events, and its latest partnership with Disney is set to be one of the most exciting yet. Epic Games announced that classic Disney villains would soon make their way into the game, starting with Captain Hook, Maleficent, and Cruella de Vil.

The reveal took place at the Disney Experiences Showcase at D23 2024, where it was announced that the first wave of new content would arrive next week. Following the announcement of the Disney villains, Disney surprised everyone by revealing characters from The Incredibles also be coming to the game. 

Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone are set to arrive in the game soon, but unlike the Disney villains, these Pixar heroes will remain faithful to their original designs. This suggests that while Disney characters may be getting a new look, Pixar characters will stay true to their roots.

The collaboration between Disney and Epic Games doesn’t end with just a few characters. This partnership is part of a larger plan to bring even more Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars characters to the game, making the game an even bigger cultural phenomenon than it already is. 

Expanding the Fortnite Universe with Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars

On August 12th, players can expect to see new Mandalorian-themed content, with characters like Grogu, Moff Gideon, and IG-11 from the first season of The Mandalorian making their way into the game. 

This is part of a broader Star Wars collaboration, building on the success of previous crossovers. Not long after, on August 16th, the game will start its next season, Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom, featuring Doctor Doom as the center of attention.

This season looks to be packed with Marvel content, including appearances from X-Men characters like Cyclops, Rogue, and Jubilee, as well as Spider-Man villain Mysterio. 

The inclusion of these characters is a clear indication that Marvel’s relationship with the game is stronger than ever, with no signs of slowing down, which is to be expected given the insane amount of characters Marvel has.

These new additions to the game come on the heels of Disney’s recent $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games, showing a deepening relationship between the two companies and their collaboration.

This investment is likely to result in even more Disney-themed content in the game in the future, as both companies look to capitalize on the popularity of the game. For fans of both Fortnite and Disney, this is all great news, with plenty of new content to look forward to in the coming months.
