The Last of Us Part I Launches Into PlayStation Plus For Outbreak Day

To celebrate The Last of Us Day, Sony announced it added The Last of Us Part I–the PS5 remaster–for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members. This is the third release of the game in 11 years so if you’ve missed out, you can jump in now with your PlayStation Plus account.

With the game’s addition, starting today, Sony has added a lot of extras like account avatars that feature Joel and Ellie, and even a Clicker to personalize your profile. You need to redeem a voucher code that will be available on the PlayStation Plus site, as well as on The Last of Us page on the PS Plus hub on your homepage. All avatars will be available until October 26.

Steam is getting in on the customization as well with digital assets including a cordyceps start-up menu for your Steam Deck as well as avatars and exclusive reaction emojis and GIFs. Even more so, starting today until November 26, all PlayStation Stars members who play The Last of Us Part I will earn a free Clicker digital collectible for their collection.

Finally, starting today, PlayStation Plus members can enjoy a 10% discount on select The Last of Us merchandise at PlayStation Gear until October 26. Users can simply use the promo code TLOUPLUS10 at checkout.

Naughty Dog celebrated 10 years of The Last of Us last year and had plans for an online game based on the world that was canceled, but the developer promised more of The Last of Us is on the way.
