The Xbox Games Showcase ācould run for 2 hours and include 30 gamesā
This weekendās Xbox Games Showcase could run for two hours and include 30 games, itās been claimed.
Thatās according to Giant Bomb reporter Jeff Grubb, who was speaking about the event on Wednesdayās Kinda Funny Gamescast.
āIām not going to spoil anything, but the numbers Iām hearing is about two hours and about 30 games, and at least a handful of those are games that weāve never heard of before,ā he said (via Resetera).
Taking place on June 9 at 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST, the Xbox Games Showcase will be the first such event to include titles from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda and Activision Blizzard.
āI think there will be around five games that we havenāt heard about before and thatās from across all their verticals,ā Grubb said, before going on to tease a showing for BioWareās Dragon Age.
āI joked that Dragon Age Dreadwolf wonāt be there and will be there,ā he said. āāDragon Age: Dreadwolfā probably wonāt be there, āDragon Ageā will be there, if that makes sense.ā
While some speculated this could mean that a Dragon Age remake is on the cards, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier said: āThe rumor heās alluding to is a name change for DA4, not a different game.ā
BioWare previously announced plans to fully reveal Dragon Age: Dreadwolf this summer, ahead of an anticipated release before April 2025.
Itās previously been claimed that the Xbox showcase could be used to announce Gears of War 6 and a new Doom game.
It will reportedly be used to confirm release dates for Xboxās first-party line-up for the remainder of 2024, which includes Starfieldās Shattered Space expansion, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Avowed, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
