Three out of four light rail services in Sydney scuttled after ‘communication issue’

Light rail services across Sydney have been scuttled due to a “communication issue”, causing chaos for peak-hour commuters.

Transport for NSW said services were not running on the L1 Dulwich Hill Line, L2 Randwick Line and L3 Kingsford Line.

Replacement buses were being organised by the state’s transport authority, but were not yet on site.

Commuters were advised to consider alternative transport, including local buses, or allow plenty of extra travel time.

More to come.
