Todd Howard Must Add 1 Character Feature Already Present in Fallout and Starfield To Make Elder Scrolls 6 a Worthy Immersive Experience
The Elder Scrolls 6 continues to be one of the most hyped and anticipated games of the decade. Bethesda’s popular fantasy RPG series has millions of fans hungry more than ever for the next mainline entry in the franchise.
The hype is understandable, as it’s been over a decade since 2011’s Skyrim was dropped and left a deep mark on the industry. It’s unclear how the game will be shaped, but if Todd Howard and his team want to bring an immersive experience, they must add this one feature from Fallout and Starfield.
Elder Scrolls 6 Need Character Traits to Succeed
Even though Bethesda’s recent Fallout games and its Starfield series haven’t hit the mark for many in the gaming community, these games have truly changed the gaming industry. These RPGs set new benchmarks for the genre by giving us a unique plotline and pushing the boundaries of player freedom.
One of the most remarkable things about both of these games is the immersive aspect. This is all due to the robot character-creator system that lets gamers create the characters of their dreams. While doing so, they can choose traits that can turn all the events upside down in their gameplay and enhance skills and abilities.
Bethesda has done an incredible job with traits in these games as it encourages players to experiment with different ones in every playthrough. However, for some odd reason, Bethesda and Todd Howard haven’t brought the feature to the studio’s most popular franchise, Elder Scrolls.
Considering the positive reception surrounding character traits by fans, they must be brought to Elder Scrolls 6. The inclusion of traits in the game will help make certain builds in the game feel extra unique and help define any Elder Scrolls character from a role-player perspective.
Every trait doesn’t have to be a big hitter or feel game-changing. Few traits can function as small additions to your build. As long as they’re designed intelligently, there’s not a single reason to ignore this feature.
If we get more unique racial passives and the return of the attributes system and character classes, traits will work on top of all these and help flesh out characters.
When Will Elder Scrolls 6 Hit the Shelves?
With Starfield reaching its first anniversary and its latest expansion continuing strong, the attention has once again turned towards the Elder Scrolls. As we’ve said before, it’s been more than a decade since the last entry in the franchise, and by the time the next Elder Scrolls arrive, it might be close to two decades.
Since the game’s initial announcement back in 2018, Bethesda has remained tight-lipped about the title. After the space-RPG’s release, the studio confirmed that the Elder Scrolls 6 has finally gone into production.
Unfortunately, there’s still no release date for the game. Bethesda doesn’t look to even have a rough release window, as the game is still in the early stages of development.
By the time it hits the shelves, and considering the long development cycles of AAA games today, we can expect a release sometime between 2028 and 2030. However, there are a range of factors that push back this window.
