The next Battlefield game is going to be the most ambitious project in EA’s history. The game is going back to the basics by taking heavy inspiration from Battlefield 3 and 4.
The Next Game Has A Massive Team Behind It
The next Battlefield game will potentially be released in the latter half of 2025, with testing beginning at the start of next year. There are 4 dedicated studios working on the game currently, including DICE, Motive, Ripple Effect, and Criterion.
This proves the game’s ambitions in scale and size. It is certain that this next-gen Battlefield will offer a unique experience to the fans of the franchise. The game will mainly focus on improving the campaign mode, with one of 4 studios dedicated to working on just that.
The game will not make the same mistakes made by its predecessor 2042. The previous game failed to provide a pure Battlefield experience since it tried to venture into new territories, which did not work in the favor of the game.
The game will be set in modern times, allegedly between 2027 and 2030. This means that the game will take a different approach from the previous few games that were set amidst World War 1 and 2.
