Tractor Supply Co. opens in newly built Hanover location
Nationwide farm, pet, and home improvement retailer Tractor Supply Company opened in its new, larger standalone Hanover location on Friday morning, marking the latest expansion of the Gateway Hanover shopping center.
Located at 250 Wilson Avenue in Hanover Borough, the new Hanover location opened its doors at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025.
The store is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays, according to its website.

Among new features of the building, versus the prior location, is a large garden center and greenhouse. The location also features a new pet wash station, along with a drive-through order pick-up area.
In the parking lot, spaces are reserved for online order pick-up, which can be placed online or through the company’s phone app. Other spaces in the parking lot are reserved for veterans and active duty military personnel.

The building is the first constructed as part of the second phase of the popular Gateway Hanover shopping center, referred to by real estate companies as Gateway East, located along the east side of Wilson Avenue.
The existing Gateway Hanover shopping center has been built up since 2010, and features stores and restaurants such as Target, Sam’s Club, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Hobby Lobby, Ross, Books-A-Million, PetSmart, Old Navy, Jersey Mike’s, and more.

The new Tractor Supply building was built on a 6.57-acre lot, according to the announcement of its purchase by Tractor Supply in November of 2023.
According to real estate corporation Bennett-Williams, the Gateway East shopping center still has a remaining lot, which can be further divided, with options of one to seven acres for lease or sale, which comprises a lot to the west of Tractor Supply.
Lots to the east and southeast of the new Tractor Supply have been leased or purchased by utility companies, including Columbia Gas, according to the listing.
The former location of Tractor Supply is seen on the 1100 block of Carlisle Street, Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, in Penn Township.
Tractor Supply was previously located in the North Point Plaza strip mall at 1150 Carlisle Street in Penn Township.
According to Tractor Supply, as of Sept. 28, 2024, the company operates 2,270 stores in 49 states, including more than 110 in Pennsylvania.
