Authorities responded to a crash Thursday morning in Biloxi that injured two people and slowed traffic on Highway 67, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.

Two passenger vehicles collided on Highway 67 and Shriners Boulevard, MHP Trooper Landon Orozco said.

One person has critical injuries and another has moderate injuries, he said.

A helicopter arrived at the scene Thursday morning to airlift at least one person, the Highway Patrol said.

The Mississippi Department of Transportation sent an crash alert just after 9:30 a.m. The agency warned delays could last at least one hour in the northbound lanes.

Authorities were clearing the scene at 10:30 a.m., Orozco said.
