Vehicle parked in handicap space without placard leads to arrest
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – A 26-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after a deputy checked his vehicle for parking in a handicapped space without a proper placard that then led to a warrant check, according to the El Paso County Constable Office Precinct Three.
The El Paso County Constable Office said on Thursday, Aug. 8 a deputy was checking a vehicle for parking in a handicap accessible space, without a handicap placard, at the Circle K located 1520 N. Lee Trevino in East El Paso.
Kevin Andres Campo, 26, exited the store and stated that the vehicle belonged to him.
A warrant’s check revealed Campo had an active criminal warrant for assault family violence with a $3,000 bond and another active criminal warrant for interference with emergency request for assistance with a $1,000 bond, according to the El Paso County Constable Office.
Campo was taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Jail with no further incident.
