Warzone Mobile is Available Now on iOS and Android

Warzone Mobile, the long-awaited handheld version of Activision’s popular battle royale game, is finally here. It was released earlier today for iOS and Android devices, bringing Verdansk back in micro fashion to an audience that already numbers in the tens of millions. It’s a shrunk-down version of Call of Duty: Warzone, offering players the opportunity to take part in one of the largest battle royale modes ever that features up to 120 real players.

Warzone Mobile was first announced in 2022, and following some painstaking testing phases, it’s finally here and available to the global mobile gaming market. It has been released on iOS and Android, and with it being an accessible game, it’s compatible with a wide range of devices. For ‘old-school’ fans of Call of Duty: Warzone, it’s perfect – it’s an authentic trip back to Verdansk, which was stripped from the Warzone ecosystem in December 2021.

When you open up Warzone Mobile – which is free to play – you’ll be prompted to go through a series of tutorial matches to learn the core mechanics of the game. This is where you can choose to stick with touchscreen controls or start using a controller. However you decide to play, you’ll be pleasantly surprised that it’s a balanced, enjoyable experience all round, featuring many of the mechanics, weapons, and elements from the most recent Call of Duty titles.

It’s a cross-progression game, too. That means that you’re working to level up the same profile and work through the same battle passes that you’ve set up or purchased on your ‘main account’ on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC.

Ultimately, Warzone Mobile is well worth playing. It’s intuitive, entertaining, and best of all, it’s free. Call of Duty: Mobile is one of the most downloaded mobile games ever made, and a lot of that formula translates well into Warzone Mobile. There are multiplayer modes, a touch of Rebirth, and of course, the grand return to Verdansk, all wrapped up in a 3.6 GB file.
