West Coast Suspensions marks 100 years

West Coast Suspensions in Bassendean is marking its centenary in 2024 with owner-operator James (Jim) McCully working in the business for 46 years.

That’s half a lifetime of memories commemorated with a mural out the front of the Railway Parade facility which started as Jenkins W.H. Spring and Axle Service Station, trading as Jenkins Springs, in Adelaide Terrace, opposite the old Ozone hotel (for those who remember it) in 1924. It later also operated out of the old Motor House building (it’s still there) on the corner of Wellington and Milligan streets.
