If you’re playing on a PC, there is the option to create your own community games. Playing Dying Light on a console doesn’t have this benefit, but you can still make the most of the ones created by PC players. These are what the custom games in Dying Light are with their various custom maps, modes and new ways to play the game.
Using the Workshop, PC players have been able to create custom games in Dying Light using the various resources already available included. These are then playable using the Custom Game option when booting up Dying Light. The wealth of amazing community-created levels and game modes is well worth exploring.
The custom maps and modes available on Console are the ones that Techland have been so impressed with that they have cleaned up and ported to the console. They are all well-made and a lot of fun to play. If you’re getting a little bored of the core gameplay of Dying Light, give them a go, and see what has been made possible.
Boot up the game using the Custom Games option on PC and select the option on the console. From here, you can browse through the various fan-made levels and game modes. There are so many to choose from, so take your time.
However, be aware that nothing carries over from these game modes. This prevents cheating or manipulation of the game. Each one is stand-alone. If you want to give it a go yourself, download the developer tools, and crack on.
