Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as stocks surged in a post-inauguration rally, and what’s on the radar for the next session. AI infrastructure As President Donald Trump talks about the future of artificial intelligence in the U.S., there was a lot of movement in the AI stocks. This is not a complete list. The stocks participating in the sector are growing in number, and some are more involved in the space than others. Microsoft fell slightly on Tuesday. The stock is 8.5% from the July high. Nvidia jumped about 2.3%. The stock is 8% from the Jan. 7 high. Meta Platforms was up 0.6% Tuesday. Shares are 3.4% from the December high. Eaton was up 3.3%. It is 6% from the Nov. 26 high. Alphabet was up 1% Tuesday. Shares hit a new high in the session. NVDA 1Y mountain Nvidia shares in the past 12 months Regular infrastructure and construction stocks President Trump brought up infrastructure week on Tuesday. Remember that from the last time he was president? It is still undefined and seems to include different kinds of infrastructure including on the technical/AI side. See above. But a lot of the construction stocks picked up on Tuesday as well. Fluor was up 6.2%. It is 11% from the early November high. Caterpillar shot up after the news broke before the market opened. The stock was up 3.6% Tuesday, and it’s 5% from the early November high. Granite Construction was up 2.6% on Tuesday, 10% from the Dec. 5 high. CNBC in Switzerland Our Davos coverage continues on Wednesday with some really big names on the guest list. Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, will join ” Squawk Box ” in the 6 a.m. hour, Eastern. Shares of JPMorgan hit a high on Tuesday. The stock is up 17% in three months and up 55% since last year’s Davos meeting. David Solomon, CEO of Goldman Sachs, will be on Squawk in the 8 a.m. hour. Shares of Goldman Sachs hit a high Tuesday. The stock is up 23% in three months, and up 66% since last year’s Davos. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will be in on the 7 a.m. hour. Shares of Microsoft are up 2% in three months, and 7.5% since last year’s Davos. Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff will be on in the 6 a.m. hour. Shares of Salesforce are up 12% in three months, 16% since Davos 2024. Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO of Uber, will be on in the 7 a.m. hour. Shares of Uber are down 15% in three months, up 4% in a year. GS 3M mountain Goldman Sachs in the past three months United Airlines CNBC’s Phil LeBeau will report on United’s earnings and interview CEO Scott Kirby in the 9 a.m. hour. United Airlines beat on both revenue and earnings per share in this afternoon’s report. Shares of United were up nearly 3% Tuesday. They’re just off the high hit earlier this month. The stock is up 185% over the past 12 months. The stock is up 3% after hours. Morning reports GE Vernova reports before the bell. The stock is up 50% over the past three months. It hit a high on Tuesday. Johnson & Johnson reports in the morning. The stock is down 9% over the past three months. The stock is down 12% from the high hit in September. Procter & Gamble is down 4.6% over the past three months. The stock is 10% from the Nov. 27 high. Travelers is down 8% over the past three months. The stock is down 11% from the October high. Abbott Labs is flat in three months and 4% from the March high. GEV 3M mountain GE Vernova over the past three months Redwire CNBC TV’s Morgan Brennan reports that the space company based in Jacksonville, Fla. jumped big on Tuesday. Shares were up 51% after Redwire announced the acquisition of Edge Autonomy. The stock is up 715% in a year. Brennan also reported that the space industry “stands to benefit from the Trump administration” as it may begin a new focus on military modernization. She noted that “2025 will be a big year for space milestones overall, and there is a strong expectation that, in addition to Elon Musk being in the mix, President Trump’s Pentagon and NASA picks will turbocharge it.” Rocket Lab CNBC data man Nick Wells spotted a big move in another space company, Rocket Lab , based in Long Beach, Calif. The stock was up 30% Tuesday. It is up 543% in the last year. Planet Labs was up 22% on Tuesday. The stock is up 121% in a year.
