Who Is The Richest Minecraft Builder?
Minecraft, the brainchild of Mojang Studios, continues to be an unstoppable force in the games industry even more than a decade after its 2011 release. It holds the prestigious title of the best-selling game ever, a feat attributed in large part to the boundless creativity it grants players.
The game’s blocky aesthetic might seem like a limitation at first, but it’s allowed players to build awe-inspiring structures and intricate pixel art. Thanks to this, a huge community of Minecraft content creators thrives on YouTube, which raises an important question: which of them has accrued the most success?
Richest Minecraft YouTuber Has Amassed Nearly £4 Million
A new study by Bank Rate conducted research on the top 100 most popular YouTubers focusing on house building content in games like Minecraft, Terraria, The Sims 4, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons to determine the highest earners. Unsurprisingly, given Minecraft’s dominance, the top 10 (and most of the top 20) consisted entirely of Minecraft content creators.
The study showed some interesting results. LDShadowLady, known for her quintessentially British optimism and aesthetic builds, reigns supreme in the rankings.
Even though she doesn’t have the most amount of subscribers, she earns an average of £3,973 per video. Her YouTube channel, overflowing with elaborate Minecraft houses and towns, is estimated to have generated over £3.9 million cumulatively.
Other YouTubers Not That Far Behind
Mumbo Jumbo, the redstone master, followed closely behind LDShadowLady with an estimated £3.4 million in earnings. Rounding out the top three is American YouTuber JeromeASF, whose Minecraft RP, Let’s Plays, minigames, and frequent collaboration with his group, The Buddies, have helped him garner over 5.3 million subscribers and just over £3 million in earnings.
It’s also worth a mention that some creators like WiederDude, who has the highest amount of subscribers in the list but ranks at #5, have carved a niche for themselves with their mind-blowing technical builds, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible within the game.
Meanwhile, YouTubers like Mumbo Jumbo (a prominent member of the collaborative Hermitcraft server) have built a dedicated audience with their in-depth tutorials on redstone mechanics. The world of Minecraft content creation has so much to offer, and has a little bit of something for everyone.
These figures highlight the remarkable earning potential that Minecraft offers for dedicated content creators. It’s proof of the game’s lasting appeal and the vast array of creative avenues it allows players to explore.
So, whether you’re drawn to staggering technical builds, inspired by picturesque towns, or entertained by a wider variety of Minecraft experiences, there’s a content creator out there who might just fit your bill.
