Why its wind business isn’t something to fret over
GE Vernova (GEV) reaffirmed its 2025 outlook despite missing fourth quarter revenue expectations.
Chris Dendrinos, RBC Capital Markets Analyst, joins Catalysts to discuss GE Vernova’s results.
While wind orders face challenges, the shift toward gas power offers opportunities, especially given that it higher margins, he says.
“They’ve got a very diversified portfolio of gas, [nuclear], and then wind,” he says. “If there’s wind weakness, the grid needs energy, and so maybe that’s more of an opportunity for gas power which actually carries higher margins for them,” Dendrinos adds.
