I remember this song really well and I recall it being played a lot on the radio back in the day. Really unfair for some to say its a ‘shit song’ or play it down, in the day it was super popular (at least here in th UK, no 2 in the charts) and people who were teenagers in the 80s like myself will have fond memories of it.

Sure, its probably not the best business decision ‘if’ they reacted that way, but I can understand the sentiment. The biggest game on the planet which will make billions, the offer is extremely insulting in my view. Rockstar would have approached the musicians because they recognise the song fits perfectly with what they want for their 80s radio station BECAUSE its a great representation of 80s music, and in my view, a good song to boot.

Imagine 30 years from now someone makes an open world game in which your character could sit in front of a TV and fire up old games, how much would Rockstar want, even after all that time, to license any game in their catalogue? They would probably say ‘fuck off’ too if they were lowballed to that degree…..its no the money per se, its how little value Rockstar have put on someone else’s work.
