Winner of $328.5M Powerball jackpot sold in Oregon comes forward

A person has come forward with a ticket matching all six Powerball numbers for Saturday’s $328.5 million jackpot sold at a Fred Meyer in Beaverton.

The Oregon Lottery said in a news release the ticket holder came forward Wednesday. The name of the winner has not been released and it will take time for them to be paid because the game involves multiple states, the Oregon Lottery said.

The Beaverton Fred Meyer at 15995 SW Walker Road that sold the ticket will receive $100,000 for selling the jackpot. The store plans to donate $50,000 to the Oregon Food Bank as part of Fred Meyer’s Zero Hunger | Zero Waste mission, according to the Oregon Lottery.

A person has come forward with a ticket matching all six Powerball numbers for Saturday’s $328.5 million jackpot that was sold at a Beaverton Fred Meyer.

“Hunger and food insecurity are critical issues across the state,” Fred Meyer President Todd Kammeyer said in the release. “We hope these funds will help feed families across the community as we work to end hunger in Oregon.”

The Oregon Lottery has been selling Powerball tickets since 1985.

According to the Oregon Lottery, Fred Meyer also recently sold other large Oregon Lottery prizes including a $1 million Powerball in November 2023 and $7.9 million Megabucks win in November 2022.

The jackpot comes less than a year after a Portland man and his wife won a $1.3 billion Powerball jackpot in April 2024.
