World Series of Warzone Global Final is Heading to Las Vegas
The World Series of Warzone Global Final has just been given a location by Activision Blizzard, and this year, it’s headed to Las Vegas, Nevada. Last year, the tournament took place in the United Kingdom, but Call of Duty is slipping away from Europe dramatically quickly. This time around, players will travel to the Orleans Arena in LAs Vegas to compete for a portion of the $1 million prize pool.
Long Time Coming
Activision Blizzard has left the organisation of the World Series of Warzone very late this season. On September 14, the best Warzone players in the business will travel to Las Vegas to take part in this million-dollar event, but with just six weeks of notice until the tournament takes place, many are grumbling about the close schedule.
Activision recently revealed the teams (trios) competing at the World Series of Warzone Global Final:
It’s a stunning list of players, and there’s a $300,000 prize reserved for the number one squad. Last year, that squad was Team Biffle, with Biffle, Shifty, and Sage winning the top prize in an epic fashion.
Las Vegas’ World Series of Warzone event will also herald the return of SoloYolo, a winner-takes-all tournament with a one-shot match and a $50,000 grand prize for one player. This has historically been one of the most exciting tournaments in the Call of Duty: Warzone space, and it’s all over in a matter of minutes.
This is a fairly huge deal for Call of Duty fans – Activision has invested more in the World Series of Warzone this year than in previous years. It’s easily one of the most popular events in the battle royale space, pulling in hundreds of thousands of viewers.
It all kicks off on September 14 – will you be watching?
