You Will Have to Ditch Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth’s Heroes, Top 5 Heroes in Marvel Rivals Based on Win Rate Is Shocking for Many of Us

Move over Hulk and Thor, there’s a new Marvel Rivals powerhouse in town! Marvel Rivals has been completely transformed with its Season 1 and Storm has been challenging Marvel Rivals favorites like Thor and the Hulk.  With a whopping 57% win rate in Marvel Rivals, the weather goddess has become the character everyone either wants to play or fears facing.

Storm’s rise in Marvel Rivals has also caused her to become one of the most banned competitive characters. Pretty much all her attacks have been given a boost. Most notably her ultimate, Goddess Boost, can now restore 450 HP and wreak havoc on other Marvel Rivals players. She’s not the only one to get these buffs as the update has surprised fans with its power boosts.

Which Marvel Rivals heroes have gotten buffs in powers?

The latest stats from Rivals Meta, a notable Marvel Rivals stats tracker suggest that it’s not just Storm making waves in Marvel Rivals. Rocket Raccoon has shot up to second place with a 55% win rate much to the surprise of fans and now sits above Peni Parker, a Marvel Rivals favorite, who is in 3rd place. Magik is now sitting in fourth place with 53% followed closely by Mantis at 52%. These two heroes may be seeing higher win rates thanks to their synergy with the now overpowered weather Goddess.

These numbers have completely flipped Marvel Rivals‘ competitive scene on its head. Most fans believed Thor or Hulk would receive the biggest buffs. However, despite receiving buffs, neither Avenger was able to break into the Top 5.

The Thunder God sits on the table at sixth while the “Incredible” Hulk sits at eighth much to the chagrin of Avengers fans. Unfortunately for them, it looks like the X-Men and the Guardians have won this battle!

Why is Storm so OP in Marvel Rivals

When paired with popular Marvel Rivals support heroes like Mantis, Storm makes for some ridiculously powerful team compositions. Her presence has rejuvenated previously struggling heroes as well.

For instance, characters like Magik and Wolverine are now seeing significant improvements in Marvel Rivals when fighting alongside her. With the right team composition, Storm is an absolute force to be reckoned with.

However, Storm’s dominance according to many is because of her game-changing ultimate. When she says the words “Feel the wrath of the goddess!” Marvel Rivals strategists are forced to scramble for cover and they rarely succeed.

Veteran players are struggling to counter this devastating ability as well and a reason for this is the lack of Storm users in Marvel Rivals’ previous season. As Storm wasn’t as used as much as the other heroes, only a limited number of players were equipped to deal with her.

Unbalanced gameplay can always lead to some disastrous consequences, especially in competitive games. While this buff has made Storm fans happy, others believe that a nerf is in order. It is clear that the Marvel Rivals team will need to act on these new buffs with caution so as not to upset fans too much.
