Astro Bot: Spooky Time Collectible Locations

If the Spooky Time collectible location in Astro Bot has been giving you nightmares, we’re here to put your fears to rest! This graveyard-themed level houses many secrets, and its alive and undead residents are doing their best to keep you from unlocking them.

While the setting might remind you of Bloodborne, the references within the level are also skewed toward the Resident Evil series. We also play around with time at this level, and that mechanic is going to play a major role. So, follow this Astro Bot collectible guide to make sure you 100% the level!

Spooky Time Collectible Locations: Bots

Bot #1

The first bot in the level can be found soon after the starting area where you get the Time Stop ability. This gadget allows Astro to temporarily slow down time, and it’s the same gadget used to defeat the Mecha Leone boss. The ability doesn’t last long, so do what needs to be done quickly!

As you progress through the gate after picking up this gadget, you’ll notice a green specter on the right-hand side of the screen using moving platforms to keep a bot captive. Freeze time just as the platforms align and use the little water strider in the pool to gain height in your jump and land on the platforms. From here, you’ve gained access to the first of many Camo Cosmos collectible locations.

Bot #2

The next bot can be found immediately after the first. As you return to the main path from reducing the floating bot, you’ll see four ghosts rapidly throwing knives at each other, forming a circular gauntlet of blades. Thankfully, you don’t have to deal with them at full speed.

Slow down time and jump over the blade or pass between the gaps, and you’ll notice the second bot holding onto one of the blade handles in the second set. Take a moment to reset the Astro Bot Time Stop ability, and then you can free him by giving him a quick punch.

Bot #3

The third bot is also very close to the second, as the platform right after you cross the spinning knife area is the one with the flower switch, a checkpoint marker, and a path to the left. On the left, you will spot two giant lit candles and two fans on either side of you. Use your spin attack to activate the fans and blow out the flames.

These candles will sink when you step on them, so move quickly or use Time Stop. Deal with the purple enemy on the other side, and then you can get your third bot in the level, the Alpha Male.

Bot #4

After raising the platforms using the spinning flower switch and activating the checkpoint, push forward until you come to a large area where three pumpkin enemies will shoot projectiles at you. Deal with them and move towards the right-hand side of the arena to the wall in the back. This wall has a rope switch you can tug on to reveal the location of the next bot.

Beyond the wall, you’ll find a chest that keeps opening and shutting with a bot trapped inside it. These chests look similar to the ones found in Captain Pincher’s lair, but you don’t have the Monkey Climber here. Instead, use the Time Stop just as the chest opens up to jump inside and free the bot.

Bot #5

Once you get this bot, return to the area behind you and activate the checkpoint. Astro Bot will need to use the Time Stop to navigate the moving floating platforms until you get to another checkpoint marker. From here, turn to the right to spot a diverging pathway leading you to the next bot.

Take this path, jump on the trampolines, and get to the wall, which opens to reveal the interactable switches. Push in the right one, and you’ll be greeted with the sight of a bot sitting on a couch that’s rapidly flying in circles. Once again, slow down time and jump onto the couch before adding this bot to your collection.

Bot #6

The next Astro Bot Spooky Time collectible locations could be missed by those who don’t explore. You’ll come across a switch that gives you a torch. This torch allows you to use ephemeral floating platforms to traverse a large gap. Before you head to the checkpoint marker across the gap, look to your right, and you’ll spot a collection of graves.

Head to this by navigating the ghostly platforms and dropping down into the hole. The crypt will periodically go dark and also has spinning platforms to navigate. Stop time just as the lights turn on and move over to the second stable platform, then repeat this process to move to the third and find the Alpha Female bot.

Bot #7

The last bot in the level is easy to spot, as it is placed in the path to complete the level. You will first come across a ghost that spews a variety of objects, and you need to use your Time Stop ability to slow them in place and use them as platforms to cross a gap.

Astro Bot will then come across walls that can be climbed and have moving walkable platforms. Use your Time Stop to make it easier to navigate the first one, and you’ll spot the bot attached to the second wall between circulating knives. Slow down time and walk between the gaps to get the final bot of the level.

Spooky Time Collectible Locations: Bots

Puzzle Piece #1

The first puzzle piece can be found right after finding the Alpha Male bot. Once you use the trampoline to return to the platform with the flower switch, use your spinning attack to turn the petals and raise the platforms needed to progress the level.

Once you do this, you’ll spot the first puzzle piece on the platform further from you. These floating discs won’t stay in the air for too long, so use your Time Stop ability and to this Spooky Time collectable location before moving on through the level.

Puzzle Piece #2

The second puzzle piece can be found right after you find the bot in the chest that keeps opening and shutting. Use the water striders in the area with the chest to jump up onto the right-hand side wall of the area. Turn around, and you’ll spot a gravesite with several coins.

Jump over to this platform, but be careful! The big coin in the center is a trap and will become a mine the moment you touch it. Use your Time Stop just as it transforms, and then punch it away. Doing so will reveal the next of the Spooky Time collectible locations in the level.

Puzzle Piece #3

The final puzzle piece can be found just after you walk up the last wall to the gate leading to the warp portal. As the ghosts begin to make the rocks fly in circles, you’ll spot the puzzle piece under a rock. As it gets close to the gate.

You can get this final piece in two ways. The first involves a respawn, as you can slow time just as the rock gets closest to your starting location and collect the puzzle piece by falling into the abyss.

The other is to wait until the rock is close to a full rotation and then stop time and quickly run over to the puzzle piece now right-side up. Either way, with this, you would have completed Spooky Time with all collectibles!
