The Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 was rolled out recently and it’s safe to say that fans are loving it. Based on the reviews, it seems like Larian Studios did a great job with the additional content, making the Game of the Year award-winning video game much better. Fans believe that Larian Studios deserves the Labor of Love award from Steam for the constant updates.

In 2023, Rockstar Games won the award for Red Dead Redemption 2, a decision that invited a lot of criticism. Don’t get us wrong, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a great game, but Rockstar Games getting this award for this game didn’t make sense as the studio was criticized for lack of updates post-launch.

Baldur Gate 3‘s Patch 7 Is Here And It Definitely Didn’t Disappoint

The Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3 was rolled out recently but only for PC users. Unfortunately, Mac and console players will have to wait for some time as Larian Studios has confirmed that the update will roll out on these platforms in October as the necessary technical checks and requirements are taking more time than expected.

The patch is massive and features new cinematics, along with Honour Mode improvements, new Legendary Actions, split screen improvements, a new way to mod the game, and a whole bunch of gameplay improvements and bug fixes. Larian Studios has revealed the rest of the information about the update on their official website.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for Windows, PlayStation 5, macOS, and Xbox Series X/S. The game was a massive success and won many Game of the Year awards.

Fans Claim That Larian Studios Deserves The Labor of Love Award

The gaming community has claimed that Larian Studios deserves the Labor of Love award from Steam not just for Patch 7 but for all other updates. The efforts from the studio are remarkable and this is just the beginning as they have big plans for the game‘s future.

A studio like Larian Studios definitely deserves this award, unlike Rockstar Games. Red Dead Redemption 2 was an exceptional video game but post-launch it seemed like Rockstar Games forgot about the game, so when the studio won the Labor of Love award in 2023, it was quite shocking.

Rockstar Games may deserve this award for its efforts for other video games but earning this award for Red Dead Redemption 2 just doesn’t make sense. We hope that in the future Larian Studios gets the recognition it deserves as their efforts have made Baldur’s Gate 3 one of the best games of this decade.
