Developer Pearl Abyss announced Crimson Desert all the way back in 2019 alongside DokeV and Plan 8. The game’s stunning landscapes, intricate visuals, and impactful combat ended up sparking curiosity among gamers.

However, in 2021, the developer ended up delaying the project indefinitely, prompting many to believe that the RPG was a dead project and that the studio had moved on to something new. Fortunately, the latest insider information suggests that Crimson Desert is finally coming out.

Crimson Desert Release is Right Around the Corner

Following a phenomenal gameplay trailer reveal last year, Pearl Abyss’ Crimson Desert is coming to the upcoming Gamescom. It’s been confirmed that there will be a playable demo for all attendees from August 21st to 25th at the developers’ booth.

Although Pearl Abyss didn’t confirm any further details like a proper Crimson Desert release date announcement, a reputable insider suggests that the game’s release is right on the horizon.

It’s great to see that the highly-anticipated game finally has a release schedule and isn’t just another dead project.

Crimson Desert is an Exciting Game That Could Change RPGs

Crimson Desert takes a typical action hack-and-slash game where you’ll find yourself in a medieval setting, just like Middle Earth games and Witcher 3!

The game takes place right in the place of the war-torn, medieval realm of Pywel, which is divided into many regions, each with its own brand of people fighting to survive their horrendous reality.

You must rise above and become a powerful mercenary, seeking out other players to help keep the most power-hungry foes in their place.

Crimson Desert can be enjoyed in a single-player or multiplayer as you go out to recruit your band of adventures as your journey to right the wrongs of the realm.

The title features a lot of features that you can dig into, such as fishing, riding hot air balloons, scaling trees, and parkour. You’ll also be able to fight various powerful bosses and climb on them during combat.

Crimson Desert is going to be released on Xbox Series S/X, alongside the PS5 and PC. This will be one of the biggest RPGs to debut on consoles and PCs at the same time, so obviously, there are sky-high expectations.
