Cumberland County man charged with raping unconscious victim

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– A Cumberland County man is facing charges after allegedly raping an unconscious woman, according to the Middlesex Township Police Department.

Police said on June 27, officers were informed of a sexual assault that occurred the previous day at a residence in Middlesex Township.

Through an investigation, police allege that Matthew Remeikis, 35, entered a residence he was not privileged to be in and raped an unconscious woman.

Police said Remeikis turned himself in to Magisterial District Judge Rogers’s Office.

Remeikis is facing charges of rape of an unconscious victim, aggravated indecent assault without consent, and criminal trespass, police said.

Remeikis was denied bail and is currently incarcerated at Cumberland County Prison, according to police.
