Dawn McIntosh says technology used to remotely operate WA’s mine sites transferable to the space sector
WA’s expertise in remote mining operations will make it a leader over other States and nations in the booming space industry, a former NASA engineer believes.
Speaking as the State Government launched its first space industry strategy in a bid to win a slice of a $900 billion global market, Fugro Australia space systems director Dawn McIntosh said WA miners had operated remotely in similar environments to space.
