Forget PS5, the Dualsense Edge Is Now Completely Customizable With the PlayStation Accessories PC App

A new firmware update for the controller has been released by Sony and it allows players to make the most of it on PC. The updated PlayStation Accessories app will let players customize the controller layouts, and much more.

New PlayStation Accessories App Lets You Fully Customize the Dualsense Edge Controller

The firmware app for DualSense on PC has got a full upgrade and UI overhaul with the new PlayStation Accessories app. This was previously known as the “Firmware updater for DualSense wireless controller.” The app is now available on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The app allows players to fully customize the Dualsense Edge controller‘s button layouts, trigger sensitivity, and more, directly on the PC. As per Sony, the new app brings “significant improvements to the overall design and user experience.”

The app is free to download and requires 250 MB or more storage space. The PC should also have a display resolution of 1280 by 800. This app will act as the command center for the Edge. Players can now create, edit, and switch between controller profiles on PC, exactly how they do on their PlayStation 5.

This is perfect for those looking for a PS5 experience on PC. Although the firmware update has been released for both Dualsense and Dualsense Edge controllers, but customization is only available on the Edge controller and players can only update the firmware of the Dualsense controller.

What Can You Customize With the Dualsense Edge’s New Features?

The app will now let players “unleash the full customizable power” of the Edge controller on PC. As for the customizations, players can do custom button remapping and change the function of any button as per their preferences to suit their gaming style.

The users can also create multiple custom controller profiles for different genres and switch between them anytime they choose. This is a much-needed feature for players who play different types of games and fans are happy with this update and the new features.

The stick sensitivity can also be adjusted, by changing the analog sticks and trigger sensitivity. There are also settings for stick dead zones, trigger dead zone customization, and adjust intensity for vibration and trigger effects.
