A 40-year-old Perth woman was so dependent on her father that authorities found her bed-ridden in a maggot-infested room — wearing adult nappies which he would change as part of his complete control over her.
In a bizarre and extraordinary case revealed in court documents, the father and daughter were said to have been diagnosed with the rare psychiatric condition “folie à deux”, which involves delusional beliefs being transmitted from one person to another.
