Horse abuse allegations prompt race charges
A leading harness trainer accused of physically and verbally abusing horses in a pre-race “regime” spanning three years has been charged with breaching national racing rules.
An independent review, released in January, investigated animal welfare at the Sidmouth property of Yoles Harness Stables in Tasmania.
