Iron ore price shows continued resilience to rebound back beyond $US100 per tonne

The price of WA’s cardinal commodity keeps bouncing back and once has again crossed the $US100 per tonne benchmark to defy predictions of imminent doom.

The benchmark iron ore spot price used by WA Treasury climbed to $US100.25/t, surpassing $US100/t for the first time in almost two weeks, despite reports identifying further weakness in Chinese new home sales and steel production this month.
