Man charged with murder over woman’s DV death
A man has been charged with murder over the death of a woman in NSW’s Hunter Valley.
Emergency services were called to a property in Pokolbin, about an hour’s drive west of Newcastle, over reports of welfare concerns just after 6pm on Friday.
The 46-year-old woman was found with significant injuries and could not be revived, police said in a statement.
A crime scene was set up and 47-year-old man arrested at the property.
He was taken to a local police station and charged with murder (DV).
The man was refused bail and is set to face court on Saturday.
Officers have not revealed any further information about the identities of those involved.
