Mandurah-raised golfer Jason Scrivener to contest 100th WA Open

Mandurah-raised golfer Jason Scrivener says the lure of contesting the 100th WA Open at the course where he grew up playing was an opportunity too good to pass up despite still being in contention to qualify for the DP World Tour’s season-ending play-offs.

Scrivener, 35, a consistent performer in Europe since earning his tour card in 2014 having played more than 240 events and amassed more than $8.3 million in prize money, will pass on one of the four remaining events before the tour championships, in favour of playing an historic home event at Mandurah Country Club from October 17-20.
