Mario and Luigi: Brothership developer uncovered

The upcoming Mario spin-off, Mario and Luigi: Brothership, is apparently developed by Kadokawa Corporation’s Acquire. Previous games include Way of the Samurai, Octopath Traveler, and more.

Nintendeal posted to Twitter sharing a screenshot showcasing the copyright info for Brothership, proving the game’s developer is none other than the RPG maker.

The series has been in a pretty rough spot, having its last entry back in 2018 on the 3DS. Frankly, people likely weren’t expecting a new entry until it was finally revealed during the Nintendo Direct back in June. Not long after, rumples of what studio was developing it made way. At least with Acquire, it’s probably going to be a pretty solid release.

Mario and Luigi: Brothership launches exclusively to the Nintendo Switch on November 7.
