HoopsFest has kicked off with a bang at RAC Arena after Melbourne United beat Tasmania JackJumpers 88-79 in the NBL’s grand final re-match in front of an enthusiastic crowd filled with celebrities.
The inaugural HoopsFest attracted plenty of big names with Carmelo Anthony, Kenny Smith, Luc Longley, Nick Kyrgios and Luke Jackson all seated courtside, while NBA scouts filled a box as they closely monitored the Australian talent.
