Overwatch Mobile Is In Development At Blizzard

Overwatch appears to be heading to your phones and tablets. According to journalist Jason Schreier, Overwatch Mobile is in development at Blizzard.

The information comes from his new book, Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment.

“Overwatch was led by Walter Kong, who oversaw the release of regular heroes and content for Overwatch 2, as well as new projects like a mobile version of the franchise,” Schreier wrote in his book.

No other details about the game were revealed. It’s also worth noting that Blizzard has yet to publicly announce Overwatch Mobile. That said, it being included in the book is confirmation that it is, or was, being worked on.

In addition to Overwatch Mobile, Blizzard did have a Netflix series in production based on the game. That was cancelled, however, due to Blizzard suing Netflix.
